Default Theory Q

Say you are MP, 3 folds in front of you, you raise XX. Does the chance of the players behind you having pairs or big aces go up compared to a 6max game where you are UTG?

If those 3 players had a pair or something like AK AQ AJ they would most likely play(assume a mid stakes game like 3/6). So does that mean it is more likely that the players behind us hold a pair or big ace?

Does this mean we must be tighter in middle position(UTG in a 6max game, 3 seats from the button) in a full ring game compared to a 6max games UTG.

I'm just thinking about how to adjust from a 6max game to a fullring game while retaining some loose aggressiveness without getting raped UTG-MP.

That is tough to figure out.

If every player played every Ace up front, but all folded, then it is definately true that the players behind you are more likely to have have an Ace, but if they fold small Aces up front, then it has alot less bearing.

The number of people who have folded should have no bearing on the likelyhood of players behind having a pair.

I think you can play a bit tighter in full ring middle position just for the reason that you are seeing more hands per $ of blinds spent and this allows you to be a little more selective.

6max games are usually more aggressive preflop, so I almost think u have to have better hand raising UTG in 6max than MP in fullring.
