I wanna move to Vegas

No, I'm not going pro. (Though the poker is a perk)

I'm just kinda bored with life in the midwest and I wanna gtfo of here for a year or two and see how things go out west.

I'm 24, I'm single, I have a degree in Marketing from LaSalle University.

Two of my friends are also interested in moving out there.

I've lived on the east coast in New Jersey/Philly, and I've lived in the midwest in St.Louis,MO/Columbus,OH and I just wanna give something new a shot.

Anyway, the reason for the post is...

I'm curious if anyone can give me an idea about the employment situation out there for a young professional, who isn't interested in working in hospitality, dealing cards, valet, bartending, stripping, hooking, or any of the other obvious Vegas jobs.

Finally I'm curious if anyone can give me any good advice about the best places in town to live that don't cost a [censored], but are located in a nice place. Point is, I'll pay enough rent to keep myself outta the ghetto but I'm not going to be living in a penthouse condo or anything either.

Any other thoughts about living in Vegas are welcome as well...tell me why it's a horrible idea...tell me why it's a good place to live...etc...
