I think his range is the following: 57s/67s/87s/97s/A7s/33/77/medium Ks(maybe K7s too). Since he min-raised, I really doube it's air trying to bluff, but there's always a small chance. He could also think based on the action that his medium K is good and is trying to get some value for it. I reraise to 2200 or so to ensure we get a 7x to call. I'd feel OK folding to a shove after that.

Wow ! You play for a lot higher stakes than I do.

Well, lets say that villain was slowplaying a higher set than yours, and made a better full house on the river.

If he had KK, I would usually have expected him to raise preflop, and if he had limped to at least make some kind of preflop reraise.

Its possible that villain may have slowplayed 77 like this. What have you seen of how he has played other hands ?

However, I also think that villain could have been slowplaying a 7x hand like this, and believes that his trips is still best on the river.

Also he may have considered your river bet to be a bluff, and decided to make a bold re-bluff. What kind of image do you think that you have at the table ?

Well, for what my opinion is worth, I think that I would reraise by say another $2,000 and call if he put me in for the rest of my stack.

I imagine that your post might be better suited for NL High or Medium Stakes though.

Dude, you know you're in the MTT forum, right? These aren't real dollars we're playing with.

Fantam, this is a $26 tourney, not 40/80NL - it's a converter error.

Kramer, I don't know about reraise/folding. This seems bad to me. I think villain's range has a lot of 7s and 33. It's not KK, I doubt K7 and I'm not worried about quads. Although it does seem weird for a set of 7s to be slowplayed on a two-flush board. A flopped boat makes more sense, bc he could be hoping someone hits a flush.

I'm not sure, my gut instinct was shove bc they are enough 7s in his range. But 33 does seem to make a lot more sense given his line. In your average $26 donkament against an unknown, I would shove but I'm not so sure it's correct.

Ha, Ha, Thanks everyone, it was the Ring Game description that had me fooled.

Anyway, the most difficult decision to me seems to be whether to call or fold if villain puts you all in after you bet on the end.

Yes, villain could have played 33 like this (I think I said 77 in my earlier post by mistake).

I see so many weak players in the early stages of MTT's that would put you all in with slowplayed trip 7's though, that I think that I would still call.
