WPEX 5/10 1 card oesd blind defense

This hand is from a fr table but since its a blind battle I felt it was applicable here. Folds to the hijack who opens, he has been fairly playing fairly aggressively but I did not have any real individual reads on him at this time.

So he opens, all fold to me in the bb with K8o flop comes Community cards: [9d, 7h, 6h]

So a pretty draw heavy board that could have easily hit me in the bb, I check, he bets, I raise, and he 3 bets...what is the consensus on my move here? 4 betting would allow me to represent stronger hands, preserve initiative and hopefully gain me some folding equity, while calling would save me a little money.

Hopefully there can be some discussion on this aspect and I can move on to the rest of the hand.

If you think you can take a freecard then cap but this doesnt work often > i just chase after the 3bet like always....

what sort of hands are you hoping will fold by making this semibluff. I know his range is wide but lets hear them.

I'm talking about the c/r btw.

yeah i dont like c/r on baords where its easy for ppl to call me down wih sd value hands.I think this is the more interesting part here.

a few hands fold flop but a lot of crap folds turn.

flop folding hands are A/K/Q high hands with undercard kickers. turn folding hands are unpaired A/K/Q high hands that don't pick up a draw on turn. i think people fold underpairs on the flop/turn too. i know many dont but they are lame.

yeah i mean on this board who doesn't have showdown value. if I'm HJ and have JT I'm going to win this pot if you dont improve.

hey what do you mean by hero needs to improve if you have JT? he has a better hand and i'm sure you're not going to blow him off his K8 by barreling your life away.

I might but most wouldnt that whats important > so c/r the Flop depens on your image and your opponents tendencies

well is hero going to 3barrel? I think it's an easy turn call for JT and an easy bluff if he checks the river. if OP is firing 3 barrels than yeah hewins.
