$12 FT, AK Bubble
Taking the short stack into account, is this a fold or a push pf? As played I intended to shut down if the big stacks called or raised, then I didn't follow my own gameplan...not really looking for criticism on how badly I botched the hand, but I figure it's a pf push or fold, what do you lean towards?

Re: $12 FT, AK Bubble
shove is fine. if shortie were a tad bit shorter i dont mind limping(and folding to shove) this either and seeing if shortie tags along..ill limp or shove depending on how villains have been playing.
i dont however like the raise to 900 bc you dont wanna be put all in after u have invested 900 already. |

Re: $12 FT, AK Bubble
Shove preflop, if you're around 10x BB you should always just shove pf unless you want to get value with a big pair. Fold turn for sure!!!

Re: $12 FT, AK Bubble
yeah I just push this. One double-up puts you in contention for 1st, and each steal at this level puts you a good bit closer too, so I put that as a higher priority than squeezing into 3rd.

Re: $12 FT, AK Bubble
Is it always a shove in this situation? How short does short-stack have to be in order for this to be a fold?

[/ QUOTE ] The thing is that one double-up puts him real close to you which sucks and is not unlikely enough. I'd say it'd have to be where one double-up puts him at most at half your stack, to be folding AK here. |

[/ QUOTE ] If you are concerned about the short stack you should just be folding and not playing the hand at all, either you should be shoving pf or folding due to the shorty. With that said I shove here. |

Re: $12 FT, AK Bubble
I shove too.
To answer your question : if shortie was way shorter (say around 400 or less), I'd prefer a limp. |
