European Casinos and Texas Holdem
Not sure if this belongs here, OOT, or TC. Mods please move or cross-post as you see fit.
I live in the U.S. and am currently thinking about traveling abroad this summer. I have researched (googled) some information for the area that I am most interested in visiting (Central Europe). The three cities that I am seriously considering at this point are Berlin, Warsaw, and Prague. In light of the recent EPT Tour, it appears that there are a variety of casinos in Europe that are expanding, or at least adding Texas Holdem to their array of games. My question is this: (a) are there any casinos in these three cities that carry Holdem ring games or MTTs on a daily basis and (b) are there any casinos in these cities that will be hosting major tournaments or a tournament series within the upcoming months (May through August)? I'm hoping there are some 2+2ers who live in these areas or are knowledgable about the subject. Any input on the subject is appreciated. |

Re: European Casinos and Texas Holdem
I can only speak for Prague which I visited last summer. In Prague there are at least two casinos that offers texas holdem. I only visited one, located in the Hilton Hotel but spoke to some other guys who had played at the other casino the same week.
The one in Hilton only had a few tables but I have some vague memory about them mentioning expanding. As for the other casino I got the impression it had a bigger poker room, but lower games. Not really sure about this. Daily NLHE tournaments were held at the Hilton casino, but cashgames were only limit. Sorry for not being able to be specific but I dont really remember the details. /FatLoser |

[/ QUOTE ] Interesting to hear that about Spain. My friend went to Spain last summer and talked about passing through a casino, but unfotunately didnt mention anything about poker. He doesn't play a lot of poker, however, and mainly plays blackjack, so that's probably why. Appreciate the info. |

Re: European Casinos and Texas Holdem
Why not come to Vienna? The city is beautiful and the poker games are great.
At the Concord Card Casino we have LHE, NLHE and PLO games round the clock and daily NLHE tournaments. June 15 to 23 we also have the Austrian Masters, a tournament series with buy-ins up to € 2000. |
