So what are you doing if he doesn't fold? Being out of position here sucks.

I'm not saying you should be giving up here, but if I asked someone not involved with this hand "what is the worst way to play 99 on a Kxx flop against a TAG aggro Cbettor?", I think a lot would make the case for this exact line.

I think it digs us in a little too deep while we're OOP.

I would c/c and see the turn. Not sure why you want to bluff here. It is a good board for a c/r but I would like it more if your hand didn't have showdown value.

By c/r'ing you lose all value from 99. You have turned your hand into a bluff.

Check/call the flop and see the turn.

I do this a lot with air (moreso when it's heads up though). With 99 I'd call and lead most turns if BB folds. I like c/r'ing flop in heads up situations where I have no showdown value and I know villain c-bets a lot.
