Team Tournament Poker
I'll be playing in a non-money "team" poker tournament thrown by area companies. This is strictly for bragging rights, with the winners only scoring points toward an larger tournament of various sports, like the olympics I guess.
Currently I'm a little short on the exact details but from what I can tell our company will be entering two four person teams. I'm pretty sure this won't be tag team style, all four of us on my team, as well as the other four, will be playing in the same MTT as individual players, so it's quite possible that team members will be at the same table. Broadcasting our hole cards to team members would be an obvious way of colluding. Impractical, though, for two reasons, one is that we won't have time to organize a system. The other is that its likely to be picked up since it would be a hastily designed and simplistic system. Dumping chips on short stacked teammates is pretty easy to pull off, especially if we end up seated next to each other. I was also thinking of moves along the lines of sandwiching players between teammates similar to the Squeeze Play outlined in HoH Vol.I Any thoughts? |

Re: Team Tournament Poker
I'm not sure what you are asking.
Are you asking us how you can cheat? |

Re: Team Tournament Poker
I prefer collude. cheating sounds bad.
They are turning this tournament into a team sport so it's in our best interest to play cooperatively. I'm just looking for some help in coming up with some solid cooperative strategies. |

[ QUOTE ]
I prefer collude. cheating sounds bad. [/ QUOTE ] I prefer borrowing permenantly. Stealing sounds bad. From dictionary.com: collude 1. to act together through a secret understanding, esp. with evil or harmful intent. 2. to conspire in a fraud. |
