Assuming you only did each once, please rank these from most expensive to least expensive.
1) Loose mid-limit live game. Difficult to read player (capable of straight forward play and spazzy play) open raises from MP, Bad player cold calls, (blinds will probably come along, but sometime they will 3-bet)..... you cold call in the CO with K9s 2) 4 players call, sb folds, you raise 56s BB 3) 1 loose player limps (he will proably fold flop unless he catches some draw, overcards, might call you down with ace high at times), you raise in the dark from the CO (blinds will probably fold) |

1 is much worse than 2 and 3 put together. [/ QUOTE ] hand 1 i completely concur coldcalling here is so bad hand 2 i dont mind being OOP if im first to act and anyways wed call a raise in this spot and plus also if we hit good no one could ever put us on 65s hand 3 isnt that what we do anyways? isolating loose passive fishy? this thread looks fun how bout these 3 situations 1) 3bet unknown MP raise with small pp in LP 2) 3bet unknown MP raise with 89s in LP 3) we raise UTG with AQo more TAGgy than LAGgy villian 3bets us in LP and we proceed to cap |

1 is def the worst, 2 I like, so 3 falls in the middle.

I don't think 2 is even that bad really, raising makes it so people will draw to overcards correctly and the hand will be harder for us to play in general after the raise I think. I think 3 and 1 are pretty close in badness. |

I agree 1 is the worst but I think 3 is worse than 2. In hand two you're creating a big multiway pot with a hand that does ok in them, and I think you gain some bluff value with this play so it is not as expensive. The problem with hand 3 is that the guy basically call you down so you have no chance to move him off and his hand is probably better than a random hand

OPs is 1,3,2 IMO. I dont really mind 3 though.
Rudeboy's is 3, 1, 2. three I think is really bad. you get over on AK so that is nice. assuming an A/K doesn't hit. you get over on QQ/JJ if a king hits. but this is expensive and you have to fire flop and turn. 1 I don't like much - depends on blinds I guess. 2 is kinda hot and I do it not infrequently. in the right game I always do it. |

I don't really think this puts you in position to play the hand any easier/better/more profitably. As far as 1 and 2 go, I'm a showdown monkey and play 1 badly. 2 I think is fun. |

The assumptions in #3 are silly.
