PS rep calls my house
I just completed a request to get a visa pre-paid debit card when the phone rang......
me: hello girl: Joel? me: yes? girl: It's Ellie from Pokerstars (she says this as if we've known each other for years) me: Oh hi! (I say this as if I've known her for years) girl: Just calling to see if you need help processing your card me: Processing my card? girl: Ya, making a deposit me: I don't need to deposit, I only need it for withdrawls (I go on to explain that I'm in NY state, that I've been waiting for a check for 1 month, that I've lost confidence in Stars ability to pay me via check, and that I needed a backup withdrawl option). girl: oh ok me: Thanks for calling girl: ok bye Her manner of speaking, as a customer service rep, seemed odd. Now I'm paranoid. Has anyone else received a call from PS after completing a request for a pre-paid visa? Also, looking for comments from anyone who uses the visa debit card to withdraw from stars. What's good/bad about it? |

Re: PS rep calls my house
This sounds like the deposit assistance department. I think it only happens if you click a button saying you'd like to be called about a deposit...

Re: PS rep calls my house
When I did a Moneygram deposit a rep came on chat and asked if he could call me. I said sure. Call was like this :
guy : I see you request info on the moneygram deposit. me : yep guy : First can I tell you about the new Paytru visa option? me : no, I want to do moneygram guy : Okay, but the paytru visa lets you cash out instantly. me : um, but it has lots of fees, I dont want to use it. guy : Actually it's only 3% so if you deposit $10 it's less than moneygram. me : um, but I want to deposit $1000 or more. Can you tell me about moneygram already? guy : Well the fees on paytru are quite small and... me : *click* |

Re: PS rep calls my house
I got a call from Party back in the day about something random - it was pretty weird. It was kinda like this except I couldn't understand most of it 'cause their reps were from India.

Used to have Americas Cardroom call me about 1/mo back in the day. Cool Jamacian acct. I thought. Didn't know if he wanted to talk poker or smuggle me some chit.

Re: PS rep calls my house
They've also called me in the past regarding the Visa Debit Card and I never clicked anything or asked to be called. They just asked if I needed help getting the card set up and that was it.
