EVE online?

My friend called me yesterday really excited about this game, and he's just started playing it, apparently it's an MMO that's better than World of Warcarft. Anyone here play it? Is it good?

The trailer on the website looks crazy, the graphics are amazing, but a space MMORPG? I'm kinda iffy.
