Interesting hand...Should I be raising or calling???
Fairly new to the forums, first post in Omaha...
First off, is there a fold here? I feel like there could be a fold on the flop, and if so, then definitely on the turn. Also, as played, should I be raising the river? Suggestions on all streets are greatly appreciated. Pot limit Omaha--$0.50/$1 blinds--4-handed Stack Sizes (approx) UTG $100 Hero $130 SB $200 BB $75 Hero is the Button with: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG calls, Hero raises to $3, SB raises to $14, BB calls $13, UTG folds, Hero calls $11 Flop: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets 15, BB calls 15, Hero calls 15 Turn: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets $20, BB calls $20, Hero calls $20 River: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, Hero??? |

Re: Interesting hand...Should I be raising or calling???
I'm a huge PLO noob but take it for what its worth:
I would jam the flop alot. You have a SFD and an overpair. I would typically shove here I think, or just make a PSR. I think your toast on that turn, I would dump. But not really sure. And unless I'm reading htis incorrectly, you have KKK full of 9s. I would bet always. |

Pot the river. My read is that SB is c-betting a flop with AAxx no flush. BB is what worries me. I have seen enough three way pots with flushes to know that the nut flush is much more likely than in a heads up pot.

Re: Interesting hand...Should I be raising or calling???
My thinking went much the same way...the SB gets credit for AA with his PF action, and really only a fool would raise so much without those aces double suited, and working otherwise with his aces (AAKQ, AAKK, AAQQ, etc). So it stands to reason that the A-high flush is out there.
Then there is the BB, what is he calling that c-bet with? it has to be 2-pair or a set, right? If so, then he most likeyl hit a boat or quads on the turn. Still, I think with my K-high flush, and redraws, I can call the flop and the turn, but should I really be raising given the action? Certainly if I do raise the flop or the turn, I fold to a reraise? |
