Default LIVE 3-6-12 Hand #2 A-10

This is hand #2 of 2 that I'm posting about from this past weekend. I think I played this hand about as badly as possible, and yet still won or... is it standard? Tell me what you think.

Again, loose/passive table 7-8 seeing each flop. I'm in the BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and knock after 5 limpers.

6 to the Flop of 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Its checked around.

Turn is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Its checked around.

River is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, one call, the rest fold.

I honestly have no clue what street(s) you think you think you might have played wrong.

worked out just fine it seems. If you wanted, it looks like you could have taken down this pot earlier. But you probably got at least one caller with maybe J10 or just A high.

check pf
Check flop

you might venture a bet on the turn to protect the best hand but i'm probably somewhat influenced by seeing it was checked thru. however, this bet from Ragland - the blinds - after checking a low card flop is usually respected somewhat by remotely sentient beings. This is how checking the flop sorta builds credibility on the turn.

River standard, A'high's, pocket pairs call, though I don't know why they wouldnt bet the turn. What's the alternative? Bet to induce a bluff or misplaced v-bet?

I would of thought about raising pre-flop just to get more money in the pot and then tried to take it down on the flop and turn. What took you so long?

I play a typical 1-2 live game very much like this (7-8 limpers) Normally Ill raise A10 from the blinds with limpers and hers why.

1.people love to limp with weak aces, is the number one leak in holdem, Most players with AJ+ will raise preflop to open or from good position so chances are you have some equity here.

2. Most people at these games goto the river with a pocket pair/weak a on an A high flop.

I think making a big pot here really pays when you hit the A or make broadway.

Bet turn bet river.

PF is whatever -- no offense but if you're completely in the dark on a hand like this you're better off not raising PF and pushing stronger, more clear edges.

I really dislike this line because 1) we probably are giving up equity on the preflop raise and 2) you arn't going to be able to 'take the pot down' when you miss against five opponents.
