If you first raise and then push it looks obvious that you have a monster. I don't know if your previous hands were preflop pushes. If they were, you should push here preflop, inducing a call.

i push no matter what my opponent thinks of me here in a 6.50, enough will call to make it the best play IMO

Given your image and history with this guy, pushing might be the best way to get the money in. In general though, I think calling and check/raising the flop might be slightly more +EV.

^^Yes. Usually the best way to get everything in is to flat call here and check/shove the flop. But given your image and history with this guy, maybe you should have just shoved? It looks weaker than 3bet and it doesn't change your pace at all. If I start pushing with trash and then pick up a hand, I'm not going to slow down just to get some callers. To thinking players(I may overestimate how many there are in the microlimits) it sends off alarm bells. So with your history, I'm either open jamming here or r/c, c/r flop.
