Default top top vs check/minraise

every one left my table and i decided to stay and wait for someone to come play me heads up, this is about 5 hands into the heads up play so i have no read on villan what so ever

Hero ($183.75)

Flop: ($8) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $6, Hero raises to $20, BB calls $14.

Turn: ($48) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($48) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $25, BB raises to $50, Hero calls $25.

Final Pot: $148

Im fairly inexperienced at heads up play, so i checked the turn for pot control. He led out into me on the flop so i expect him to bet into me on the river and i was plannign on callign any bet by him and wouldve raised it if a A or K hit. his medium size bet smells like a possible flush draw but i thought that id rather give him a possible free draw them get check raised. What do you think of my line here? What do you think villan has and do i have the best hand here most of the time?

I bet like 38 on the turn and call a shove.

This looks fine. You definitely don't have the best hand most of the time after his river c/r but you do have the best hand often enough to call getting close to 5 to 1.

Yeah I'd value-bet his ass on the turn too, because his weird flop bet looks like a draw. If he c/ced the flop, I'd still lead the turn but IMO it's closer to a check-behind than as played.
