stupid OP (completely vague).
trolling response (predictable responsible to being called on hate - "but he was the greatest person at being evil or committing atrocities or some such nonsense). lock thread. |

Re: Leadership
I'll throw in a vote for George Washington as a good leader for a number of reasons, but chiefly because he had the opportunity to secure more power for his position but instead tried to limit the power of his own post. Not many politicians or leaders can say that.

[/ QUOTE ] Actually, I think Hitler was a terrible leader and made huge mistakes that lost the war before it even started. That said, you are probably right about the thread. |

Re: Leadership
Open an account yesterday and post this today? I suspect it is someone using a gimmic account trying to start crap for the politics forum. I'd like to see an IP ban.

Re: Leadership
Just US? If so, from the 20th century only, and in no particular order:
Ronald Reagan, Malcolm X, MLK, FDR, Miles Davis, Jackson Pollack, Ernest Hemingway, John Lennon, David Hackworth, Billy Mitchell, Frank Lloyd Wright, Stephen Hawking, and Salma Hayek. All of these people have demonstrated the courage of their convictions and have effected tremendous influence on their respective fields. |

The country was throwing itself at his feet and, instead of what so many would do, he served and then stepped aside. |

David Hackworth, Billy Mitchell [/ QUOTE ] 2 excellent choices. "About Face" is the best 800+ page book in my library. |

[ QUOTE ] stupid OP (completely vague). trolling response (predictable responsible to being called on hate - "but he was the greatest person at being evil or committing atrocities or some such nonsense). lock thread. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, I think Hitler was a terrible leader and made huge mistakes that lost the war before it even started. That said, you are probably right about the thread. [/ QUOTE ] "Great leader" is terribly vague and subjective. You could just as easily say that Hitler was terrible at making good decisions, but since he did a great job of making people follow him, he was a great leader. |
