Default $650 WSOP Qualifier on stars...need help

I qualified last night for this and want to know what to expect from those who have played in this. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I have played in 5 double shootouts to get in this before last night and everytime the play has been HORRIBLE....so bad that it makes me play the same way.

Is it better just to play a pretty straight forward TAG strategy (normal for me)? also if I bet 3x especially early there seems to always be 5 others come along...how do you get these people out?

THANK YOU......

Straight forward TAG is a good place to start from. As always, adapt to the situations and players as necessary. For the most part, just play your best poker until you start to get close, then really really really pay attention to what players are doing and how things are going and where you stand overall. Lean toward avoiding entanglements with short stacks or big stacks (unless you are short and need to gamble). Look to grab chips in low variance situations as the bubble approaches. As the bubble approaches start to think more in terms of survival as opposed to accumulation, depending on your stack/place.

One qualification, as the bubble approaches and you clearly need to grab more chips, entanglements with big stacks are fine IF you have a clear read that they are playing correctly (i.e., folding almost everything). If you get close and can't fold in then reads are everything. Read Adanthar's sublime posts.
