Default (NL400) Semi-Bluff Check-Raise all-in when board pairs

Hero (SB): $386
BB: $393.20
UTG: $872.50
MP: $1343.45
CO: $420.70
BTN: $370

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP raises to $15, 2 folds, Hero calls $13, BB folds

Flop: ($34) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP bets $29, Hero calls $29

Turn: ($92) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP bets $60, Hero raises all-in to $342

Pot Size: $494

Villain is 36.3/16.2/2.6 (74 hands). He is the fish at the table. In an earlier hand despite his aggression rating he only check-called flop and turn with an overpair JJ and checked again on the river when a Q fell. It appears he plays aggressive when he has the initiave in the hand and passive if he doesn't.
I called the flop because I am confident I get paid off if I improve.

Is this check-raise a good idea or a bad idea?

your're representing a j, if he has one you'll get called, else its a strong play.

Good point. Unlikely but that type of thinking is probably too deep for this villain.

i think this [censored] sucks

just lead the turn, c/r the flop, lead the flop, all are viable

I don't mind this.

I think you're repping a J very well, + there's a lot of draws he could have picked up on the turn that he would bet with.

The fact that he's a fish obviously makes it a little more sketchy, since he might snap call you with like KT or something, but I don't mind this at all.

I might raise smaller.

I'd often play the flop faster, but not always.

How else would you play a jack?
I think you repped it well. Just pray he doesnt call you down with a T or overpair.
