Overpair vs. Nitty McNitterson
Villain is 12/6 through 125 hands. I don't remember him much, however. I have K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and am UTG (6-max).
I raise to $4, villain calls in CO, SB calls, BB folds. FLOP: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (~$13) SB checks, Hero bets $8, CO calls, SB folds. TURN: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Against this guy I think c/c turn and re-eval river? |

Re: Overpair vs. Nitty McNitterson
I just lead the turn and re-eval if I get raised rather than c/c. Just cause he is a nit doesn't mean he doesnt have AQ or less likely KQ which we can take to value town or could have AK AJ of diamonds which we don't want to give a free card to.
What hands is a nit calling pre and on the flop that are beating you? 88 and maybe 22. |

Re: Overpair vs. Nitty McNitterson
LOL, my online name is Tilty Tilterton. I'm wondering if I'm related to Nitty McNitterson
Class name - next account I set up, that's what I'm going for. I'll then play 90/4/4 poker As for your hand I lead turn again for a PSB. His action will give you key information. If he raises you are quite likely in trouble. If he calls he is drawing or has something of the board you beat. If the draw comes in check/evaluate. If it doesn't price him in to call with a QJ/Q10 type of hand. The problem with your c/c idea is that you are surely only proposing that for pot-control but that is much harder to achieve OOP. |

Re: Overpair vs. Nitty McNitterson
I like 2/3 pot here. That's enough to not commit yourself to the hand, get value out of AQ, make any choice bad for flush draws, and let you get away from the hand if he raises. Probably c/c river if he calls.
