Regarding 3BB raise EP what other hands do you do that with?

I'd 3bet flop before that nasty flush hits and kills my action. If he folds AK/AJ so be it.

I doubt he's folding to a 3 bet. He likely has AQ/A4 or some other 2 pair hand and a big 3 bet (65-70) would look like a poorly played AK on your behalf. Given the flush draw, thats the only line that makes sense to me.

i dont like limping early with small pps as you have to fold to a big raise behind, so i either raise smallish like this and hope for callers or fold them. how do you play them?

I raise them normal, to 4BB. I open-raise something like 95% hands I play under normal table conditions.

how do you play them to a 3 bet? if someone reraises to x8 do you call? do you fold to x10 and x12?

I look at the number and character of villain's in the hand and the stacks and whether the 3bet came from the blinds or not and based on that make a decision.

I have not yet incorporated bluff 4bets and 4bet-shoves in my arsenal, but I plan to soon, lol .

Assuming your standard raise is 4bb, I don't like your 3bb raise here. A smaller raise encourages action, and
[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]you can't stand a reraise
[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]you are out of position, and your have a hand that plays terribly unless you flop a set.

Raise your full amount if you are going to raise. You don't mind taking it down now.

Calling is fine, especially at 100NL. Contrary to the statement earlier, you usually can call a raise profitably.

Folding small pps UTG is fine at this level and above too. There's not a whole lot a profit in there, if any.

Personally I generally limp them with occasional raises, but only because I limp AA and KK quite often.

my standard open raise with a big hand is 4bb. but if there is one limper then it's 5. 2 or three limpers i add 2 or 3bb. when i 3 bet it's 2 and a half times the raise.

but i will raise 3bb with pps and scs sometimes just to build a pot should i hit and also to take it down if noone else is interested. it also allows you to fire a c bet if you want.

do you advocate not varying the size of raises?

i also limp kk and aa (and sometimes others) early on to mix it up (although only about 40% of the time)

You can do what you do if you think not enough people will notice.
