AK OOP in a re-raised pot
Again no reads on villain. I have not been at the table too long so no real image either. Effective stacks 100bb's.
CO opens to $4, button calls, I r/r w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to $15, CO calls, button folds. FLOP: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (~$34) I check, CO bets $15, hero calls. I think this is standard. TURN: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero? I really hate the turn card. I'd say his hand range is A-rag, AJ+, QQ+ in a r/r pot. Unless he's a complete asshat I can't put him on a 5 other than quads or maybe A5. I have $60ish left on the turn. |

Re: AK OOP in a re-raised pot
raise more preflop id make it 18 or 20.
betting this flop is good if he will put you on a squeeze just making a cbet, but checking is a fine play. Id just check it again but im getting stacked here if he just hit 2/3 outs. |

Re: AK OOP in a re-raised pot
I guess I'm concerned that betting the flop folds out all hands I beat and checking gives him enough rope to hang himself. However, I might be overlooking the times he goes broke w/ A-x by doing something stupid.

Also, plenty of times people will try to bluff you off of KK or whatever when you bet this flop. If you cbet here with garbage hands when you squeeze you need to bet sometimes with the goods IMO, but as i said i check it a lot too. |

Re: AK OOP in a re-raised pot
I'd bet the flop usually for ~1/2-2/3 pot. Plenty of worse hands will call/raise. I prefer the check w/ <AQ.
As played continue w/ your flop plan. Check and hoefully induce some bluffs. Pot is to bloated for you to fold now. If he has AQ/QQ thems the breaks. Paul |
