Q8s in BB - OESD flop
I had no reads on anyone, so assume 35/2 ish. I don't want to bias posts by saying what i think.

Re: Q8s in BB - OESD flop
betting a one card OESD with two flush on the board into 5 opponents isn't the greatest of ideads ...

Re: Q8s in BB - OESD flop
Why are we assuming 35/2ish??
c/c the flop. The pot is not big, there are 5 other players (or is it 4? I think your converter is sick) in the hand, you have the worst position possible, soaking wet board, and you're not drawing to the nuts. You have a maximum of 6 outs, you have IO to call the hand, but RIO not cool, not to mention the flop can get raised behind you folding those you want to have sticking around. Check the turn, you have less outs on the turn than you did on the flop. You may be drawing dead. TWIWP, none of the straight or flush draws came in, and both your opponents play has been consistent with drawing hands. I really want to bet that river as a bluff, but the fact that I don't have any reads makes it tough. I'd probably bet and hope I was right about their hands. I only need my bluff to work 1/6 times to show profit. |

Re: Q8s in BB - OESD flop
Thanks for the replies - Yeah, I really balls it up!
I had decided to play draws more aggresively because of the no-fold 'em policy there appears to be - I wasn't really thinking here because I need a bigger pot to do that, and there is the flush draw plus i only have 1 overcard. 35/2 is a bit low on the aggression - maybe 35/6 - the average for the limit judging by the data i have collected. I don't judge it like that when i'm playing but for the purpose of discussion, it is the average microlimit player. cheers. |

Re: Q8s in BB - OESD flop
The flop bet could go either way depending on many factors. But it isn't much value given the nature of the board.
The Turn bet is terrible. The River check is perfect. |
