99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
200 hands on villain, 12/11/4.5.
I felt he was capable of double-barreling...but should I have given it up on the turn? The flop even? If not, does the K and the push influence you to give up where you weren't planning on it before? Flame away. Re: 99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
i never understood donkbetting with hands like these, a lot of tags will bluff raise you here with overs but also raise made hands. i think c/f the turn is best, but i wouldnt get in the habit of donking the flop like this.

Re: 99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
Donking is retarded, let him c-bet and at that point you can call and reevalute on the turn or lead the turn. Donking lets him fold all worse hands and call/raise better hands. Also when this NIT raises UTG and raises the flop I am folding always.

Re: 99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
Hate the flop donk. I would check raise, as this is exactly how I would play a set as well. If I donked, I would fold to his raise.

Re: 99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
I don't mind a flop donk.. but I'd be folding to the raise vs a guy with stats like these. You're not going to be good hardly ever.
I'd rather do that than check call vs someone with a 4.5 aggro.. unless he shuts down on the turn.. but I doubt it. |

Re: 99 overpair vs. TAG pfr
A line I often like to takes with these marginal hands OOP is to check-call flop and lead the turn. Dunno if this is good or if anyone else much does it, but it seems to work quite well for me.
