Best turn line?
Villain is like 35/4 over 100 hands and not good (although I haven't noticed him being extremely terrible either). He can obviously peel with lots of hands here and I expect him to raise the flop with his strong ones.
Once I got to the turn I figured that a 2nd barrel would probably get called a lot and that he'd probably bet there a lot and it was fine if he checked behind. ----- UTG+1 ($636.45) MP1 ($1926.15) MP2 ($608.40) CO ($597) Button ($1345.95) Hero ($822) BB ($600) UTG ($590.70) Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP2 calls $6, 2 folds, Hero raises to $30, 1 fold, MP2 calls $24. Re: Best turn line?
This line is fine, if you think he'll float a bit.
Alternatively, you could bet like $70 on the turn, if he's pretty passive. |

Re: Best turn line?
I think he'll have a very wide range of hands that call the flop for sure. I just really don't want to blank on the turn and get shown down K6s or some [censored].

Re: Best turn line?
i like turn c/r the best of your options there.
i also dont like preflop that much, especially against a 30/4. |

Re: Best turn line?
I dont like it.
You aren't folding that much, K8 K7 K6 if they even recall preflop, then there's a big wall of hands like 9T KT QJ TJss TQss and i think KJ KQ stack here all the time. So you're shoving with little folding equity and aginst a range of mostly large hands which will def pay off to any diamond and seven. I like preflop though. |

Re: Best turn line?
Preflop, eh, I figured a 30/4 is likely to fold to a flop CB. Is that asking too much? Looking back, it's probably best to raise this against the set miners and take a flop against the 30/4s.
Jay, You're leaving out a bazillion hands in his range that are folding. J9, Q9, 89, etc. |

Re: Best turn line?
bazillion hands
VERY possible hands: 9Ts KQ KJ KT QJ JTss TQss, all of which call. of yea and since you added the 9s, 9Jdd 9Qdd 98dd, of which are more likely than their none drawing counterparts to bet the turn. unlikely hands: 89s 9js 9qs, K8s k7s k6s - since the ones you just added never ever bet the turn in the hands of a 35/4 player. So your c/r'ing to fold out a 1/4 (completely unweighted, best case for you) of his hands of which you'll beat them on the river 1 in 3 times anyway. And to reduce your implied odds, and to get stacked 2/3 of the times when you could have saved $400. If you want to start argueing outliners then 1. maybe he calls 44 99 K9 on the flop and 2. maybe he calls K8 k7 k6 all in. |
