me: (now annoyed because i was interrupted) not really.

him: how do you play?

me: what exactly are you asking me? (now very annoyed)

him: how do you play poker, what are the rules?

me: it's a little bit too complicated for me to explain it in the way you are hoping for me to explain it, but i guess you can say certain combinations of cards or worth more than others.

him: oh, do you play for money?

me: (shrugs) no.

him: starts telling me about the time he won $40 at slots

Normally I'm in favor of talking about anything but work, but in this case, I was definitely caught off guard and quickly realized where the conversation was heading.
