$6.50 Turbo - Lame preflop question
I have position over Villain and a playable hand, but is it too early to play this?
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t60/t120 7 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t4050 Villain: t1720 MP1: t1275 CO: t2645 Hero: t1545 SB: t760 BB: t1505 Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, Villain raises to t420, 2 folds, Hero? |

Re: $6.50 Turbo - Lame preflop question
This is a really easy fold.
Maybe Google "gap concept" for a start. |

Re: $6.50 Turbo - Lame preflop question
Yeah, I did fold. It just felt too nitty so I thought I would double check. I am usually too tight so I'm always ready to check my play on a few hands.
This forum does crack me up though, I get berated for being too tight when I laid down A10 off - now I'm being directed to google for some of the basics. lol Thanks for your replies. |

Re: $6.50 Turbo - Lame preflop question
lol mucking a9s is not nitty lolz. Insta fold, no thought involved. Unless villain is like 50/30 or more, then I'd muck. If he is super loose, these plays are high risk and do work (I know, I do them a fair bit of the time) and if you're lucky they'll call u with a weaker ace (which does happen, especially at 6.50s). But yeah, if you don't have such a strong read on the player, it's an easy fold.
