Was at Borgata last night. Had been up and down, at this point had run my initial $200 up to $375. Then this hand came up.
Hero: $375 Villain: >$375 Villain is UTG+1 and raises to $7. This was a tiny raise in this game. 3 callers to me on Button. Hero finds: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and Hero calls. BB calls. We take a flop 6 handed: ($43) J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, Villain bets $40, 3 Folds, Hero raises to $120, BB folds, Villain pushes. (Has Hero covered, had about $250 left). What do you do? |

Yeah, I knew it then and I guess I know it now. Just frustrating. Was definitely the biggest pot I've ever played. Also makes it tough that all my idiot friends were bitching at me after "How can you get all in with Q high?".
Does anyone think I should have folded preflop? |

um, your friends are idiots. This is simple pot odds. You've got 15 outs to anything he has (maybe a bit less if he has some of your kings, some of your spades, or a back door flush draw). We'll say 13.
No matter how you look at it you're getting 2 to 1 on a 50/50 shot. Only way you're a dog is if he's got KsXs or AsXs, but then you've got 6 more outs to pair. |

You are ahead of AA!
Fold this if you don't like money. [ QUOTE ] Also makes it tough that all my idiot friends were bitching at me after "How can you get all in with Q high?". [/ QUOTE ] Lol, you need to live-buddy-list your friends. |
