Default $5.50 FT 9 Player SNG down to heads up

How was my play? Should I have folded after his post-flop raise as I couldn't make a flush?

I'd do the same. You can't let another card fall for free and you can't fold, so you have to push.

If he has two hearts already that's just bad luck and it happens.

If you mean that if you were in your opponents shoes you wouldn't have called with a made flush on the flop HU? If so, that is really bad.

nah, he meant that his opponent called with 9x7h. The 9h is already on the board.

I might have called you with that. He's down 3-1 in chips if he folds after your push, he has mid pair, the flush draw, and has to think you could have nothing or if a 7 comes his two pair win.

Your push was correct, you were ahead and just got sucked out on, but I can't fault him for calling (though I might fault his reasons for calling)

If I really feel I'm better than someone and can make up that 3-1 chip difference I may fold this, but quite often heads up people will take this to the felt.

This is really no different that if you push AK and someone calls with AQ and hits a Q. You did nothing wrong and the other person got lucky.

Smile, move on and understand that over time you'll win money in that situation.
