My first reaction to this hand was to bet 300 and call it a day. I think its a check fold though. What hand beside KQ that you beat is folding to any bet?

Whether you are beating the hand is irrelevant. I'd expect to fold out any A that whiffed, any underpair, and any other random crap some dude called with at the 16s. If not, well, I generally have outs.

Sure, ya, you can assume that your opponents completely suck all the time and that they're cold calling ATCs. They are not though. I don't see A9- flat calling here or most other hands. A flat call in a position like this is often a sign of a monster.

This is a tough spot. Don't sound like you have this figured out. Spacegravy wouldn't be asking otherwise.
