Default Flopped set line check

I haven't played poker seriously in almost 6 months due to school kicking my ass, so I'm a little rusty. Just wanted to check my line up to the river and get input on the river. Oh, and I didn't have a full stack cause I lost it on the previous hand and wasn't quick enough on the reload.

No reads or stats on the opponent (he was fairly new to the table), but I put him on a good Ace after the flop and turn calls. The river is a call every time, right? Sorry, I know this is probably really standard.

I personally like raising pairs PF and in position, getting it HU, and c-betting but its really a matter of taste. Donks stack off in raised pots a lot more often than unraised ones.

Flop is good, I wouldve planned to do a PSB if checked to so I like the raise.

Turn is fine, I would raise to 9 but if he has an A he's stacking off no matter what.

River is completely standard...like at this point, he would have to show me his hand to get me to fold. You played it well, sorry you ran into aces full

K, thanks for the input guys...

re: not raising preflop... if no one else limps, then yeah I raise it with any PP. with a limper, though, i like to limp behind with lower PP (88-). I'll try raising it up in the future though.

he had A8, if you guys didn't guess that already. thanks again.
