Default Add-on or no?

Is there a method to calculating whether it would be +EV to add-on?

At first, I was thinking that any amount of add-on would be +EV for a winning player. Then I thought about it some more, and realized that adding 500 chips for $100 bucks in a $10 dollar tourney when i have 10,000 chips would be stupid. So at some point there is a nuetral EV, right?

How do you figure that out?
