Default Raptor\'s min bet day 2, lots of hand q\'s, and another graph.. (10-20)

ok so today, i slept a lil late and only had about an hour to play, so i decided to 5 table and really think about what i was doing and why. i feel like that might have helped tremendously, though i ran really well today. I still think i didnt play THAT terrible yesterday. anyways.. heres a graph, as well as a bunch of hand questions.

ok, now on to the hands..

HAND 1
PokerStars Game #9522255730: Hold'em Limit ($10/$20) - 2007/04/20 - 17:52:34 (ET)

Bebop86:

Is a value bet too thin here? I felt like I had best hand a lot.. also, should I be betting the turn or anything?

HAND 2
PokerStars Game #9522216113: Hold'em Limit ($10/$20) - 2007/04/20 - 17:49:54 (ET)

I think I messed this one up pretty bad. Im thinking maybe lead turn, or check call, or just fold pf even, though I was trying to not fold as much in the blinds this time around, but it was an UTG raise so I think a fold is best.

This is a fairly standard spot imo, and I think im betting turn every time here. Not sure if that is standard or not.

Ok so, here I 4 bet the flop in hopes of chasing out micaldinho. It worked, but I feel like I shoulda just given up river or something, didn’t see a lot I could beat but huge pot.

Ok on this one, I didn’t see much point in a flop raise, as he wasn’t going anywhere, and I also couldn’t see folding. The river I thought was close, but I also thought it was possible he had something like 79 or K8 or whatever, not sure if this is standard.

Ok, that’s all I got for now, didn’t get to play very long as its Friday and I slept all day and have to go out now, but today went a lot better, so maybe yesterday was just a cursed day or something. Thanks again for all the help.

Default Re: Raptor\'s min bet day 2, lots of hand q\'s, and another graph.. (10-

1. bet flop.

2. fold pf. fold flop. bet river mebbe he folds 55h

3. tough hand, depends on all players at table. can def fold the river against most players.

4. flop fold is good. almost always fold pf unless players are terrible.

5. tough spot. very player dependant. can often bet/fold the turn. otherwise bet and call down is fine if villain is spewy. river fold is good.

6. too player dependant to comment on. usually c/f turn.

7. bet flop and call a raise. reevaluate on turn.

8. dont raise. dont try to drive ppl out with draws lol. calling preserves implied odds. now u can make a double bb when u hit.

9. river is only real decision and it depends on the player. calling is not bad if you have no read.

ok, now teach me nl

I agree with Victor on everything except I defend any ace when button opens so I don't fold that hand. You played a few of these hands in what I would call a glaring "no limit player" fashion. Expecting to have any fold equity with your flush draws, checking behind a scary board after being the preflop raiser, stuff like that. Keep at it this is fun to see you hopefully transform mentality. I know I finally can play NL without thinking "ok check behind turn, call a river bet" that type of stuff which is standard limit get to showdown mentality and just gets you killed in NL.

hand 1: as played betting river would be criminal

hand 2: Call is fine, easy c/f tho

hand 3: Flop raise is marginal, but im shutting down after someone calls 2 cold on that board

hand 4: fold pf, little value in a 3 way pot. fold flop as played.

hand 5: turn check is good in this spot, check fold river in a multiway pot.

hand 6: std.

hand 7: 3 bet pf is marginal as played bet flop, call raise spike turn...

hand 8: call donkout, raise turn, better line imo

hand 9: pretty std

gl with your minbet!

Bro, you gotta start posting one hand at a time and using a hand history converter. Nobody likes reading raw hand histories.
