My wife wants to go on a vacation, and we are looking for something in the way of a mountain cabin, for around $150/night - probably 3 days/2 nights, within 600 miles or so of Indianapolis, towards the end of May. We've got a 9-year old daughter, so fun stuff to do for kids is a plus.
Any tips, links, or suggestions welcome! |

[/ QUOTE ] Im not much of a nature guy at all, give me a nice 5 star suite and some room service, but one of the neatest things Ive ever seen was after I picked up my car in atlanta at 10pm, and drove straight back to st. louis, I got to teh smokys at about 2 in the morning, torrential downpour, fog, etc, I pulled over to wait it out and turned on my high beams, fricken amazing. |

The Smoky Mountains were a great getaway vacation.
My wife and I spent 3 days in this cabin last summer. The views were gorgeous. It took about 5 minutes driving straight up a mountain to get to this place. One evening there was a downpour for about 30 minutes. The rain stopped and the smoke started rolling through the valleys. It was beautiful. http://www.blackbearlodging.com/cloud-nine.html |
