NL25 losing with two pair
OK so i thought i should take some time and review some hands today. I'm winning over a small sample (~7K) at 6.6 PTBB/100 but I could be winning quite a bit more.
My 2 pair hands are showing a loss and they are something I need to work on before i move up, NL50 shouldnt be a problem but at NL100 i'd expect these leaks to get me into serious trouble. Many of the two pair hands are overpairs on paired boards v sets but if i could get some feedback on these non-overpair two pair hands it would be appriciated. I run at around 25/10/2 so if any villains are paying attention they'd see me as fairly loose. Re: NL25 losing with two pair
Before stepping up, I would recommend clamping your preflop game just a little before stepping up to nl50 or nl100, as it's likely that a 25/10 style may present a lot of awkward post-flop situations. That said...
Hand 1 - Bet turn, that's the best chance you can stack-off against your opponent and to get all your money in by the river, no reason to be deceptive or slow down here. River play is a non-question if you lead turn & river. Hand 2 - Looks good. Hand 3 - Bet/3-bet turn. Lead river. This represents you best chance to get buttons stack entirely into play. |

Re: NL25 losing with two pair
Hand 1 - As BlueBear said
Hand 2 - OK but I would bet more like $6 on river Hand 3 - Fold p/f > raise > limp, as played c/r turn |

Re: NL25 losing with two pair
I thought on hand 3 c/c turn hopefully catch a bluff or let TPTK carry on betting. On the river i thought more hands would bet rather than call and as I'm OOP it kept the pot small. Do you think thats too nitty?

[/ QUOTE ] Against typical opponents at these stakes, you'll usually make more money making appropriate value bets rather than letting the bluff - which they may or may not do. Yes, I like value-betting the river too. |

On hand 1 if we lead the turn are we folding to a raise? [/ QUOTE ] Call/reraise all-in. In hand 1, I'm never folding top two pair in this kind of situation against a 60BB stack. |
