I kind of find it hard to believe that he doesn't raise a set or a straight on the flop.

No...easiest fold ever is 72 off preflop to an all-in raise from UTG by the chip leader when you're UTG+1 and 2nd in chips in a satellite where 9 players get seats and there are 10 players left. This is the second easiest fold ever

This is a really [censored] spot. I see people stack off here with Jx enough though that I might get it in.

You're in a tough spot. The one hand that screams out at me is 9 10. But the problem you have is that the Villian has 4300 in chips so he could be making this play with a very wide range of hands, just trying to bully you around. You could say though that if he was trying to bully you around, he would have just set you in here, not just raised to 800 chips. Maybe he flopped top 2 or top and bottom, maybe he has 9 10, he could have a flush draw, he could have a lone Jack (KJ, AJ). I would have probably of checked the turn with a weak 2 pair. See what he does. If he checks behind you on the turn, then you could value bet the river but if he bets, then you are saving yourself some chips. I generally dont like to build up a large pot this early with bottom 2 pair with the numerous amount of straight and flush draws out there. I would probably dump in this paticular situation.
