QQ with flush draw, but does opponent have nuts?

pot the flop [/ QUOTE ] Why pot vs. my 3/4 pot bet? Personal preference? With these stacks a pot bet still never gets rid of the Ac. |

Why pot? ...with these stacks a pot bet still never gets rid of the Ac. [/ QUOTE ] Looks like you answered your own question. Now, think about what else a pot bet never gets rid of. |

Re: QQ with flush draw, but does opponent have nuts?
I was trying to get cute with my answer... I bolded the important part in the quote in my last reply.
You bet more because he will call more. You are ahead and you want his chips in your stack and not his. If he is calling with AcX then you want that money in the middle. If he is calling with AJ/KJ/QJ then you want that money in the middle. My point is that he is calling a full pot bet with all of the same hands that he is calling for 3/4 pot so you might as well get his chips in the middle before a scare card falls. |
