10+1 AK flop A on fairly tame board, check raised
The guy is tight, but only played one rotation with him, he raised once, no calls.

Re: 10+1 AK flop A on fairly tame board, check raised
i would check river here. the reason is i dont think u get called by any hand that u r beating, except maybe ace ten at a real push. would he limp UTG with ace queen. prob not. if he did with ace jack hes got u. what else does he call with that u r beating.
does he fold any hands u r losing to? i am not so sure. |

Re: 10+1 AK flop A on fairly tame board, check raised
If he is tight like you say he is then A2, A8 are out of the question. 88 is a real possibility I think, as is maybe AK. The minicheckraise screams strength from what I know. Id call the flop raise and then you have to make a decision on the turn either push or fold. I'd probably push here cuz I cant fold this but I think we are probably beat.

Re: 10+1 AK flop A on fairly tame board, check raised
I can't see him not calling here, and probably has you beat.
My guess is 88 or A8. I would honestly just check behind him on the river. I can't see you getting called with any weaker hand here, nor being able to push out any stronger hand. |

I agree with the check on the river. You are only getting called if beat.

Im probably gonna check/call after the flop cuz i'm a timid bitch and it just smells like 88. (its ALWAYS 88)

Shove the turn [/ QUOTE ] Seriously?? That river is strange and I know my advice has been on the nittier side recently but man I turbo muck to that turn bet if not the flop. This is the standard low-stakes set miner line. Without seeing the river I would muck with confidence but that check there is just strange... |
