Default Kicked out with a valid ID at Hard Rock - what should I have done?

I have been in Vegas this past weekend and stayed at the Hard Rock. I gambled at several different casinos without issue (did have my ID checked quite a bit as I am 21 and look 16). I didn't run into any real problems at Bally's, Mirage, Hard Rock, or MGM until Saturday evening around 7pm.

I put $100 down at a roulette table and was asked for ID. I presented my ID, which happens to be a temporary license from Alabama, which as it turns out is paper, not plastic. The guy running the roulette table called over someone, who then called over someone else. Ultimately, I was walked over to the cashier where 1 or 2 other people checked the ID and ultimately came to the decision to not allow my money to play in the casino. I was politely asked to leave the casino area. I did not fight the decision, merely rolled my eyes and went back up to my room until the comedy show that I had tickets (and VIP all access that I was wearing around my beck at the time of the incident) started. I'm basically asking for advice on how I should have handles the situation. It will likely never happen again as I have already received my hard plastic license.

Should I have created a little more of a stink since my ID was in fact valid and I was in fact of legal age? I didn't have a passport or anything else to verify my age -- only a university class ring (not many under 21s will have these) and a few other people at the casino that could verify my age by word of mouth.

I was obviously annoyed, but did understand their angle because it did sort of look fake.

What do you guys think? (other than the Hard Rock for being retarded because obv I'm gonna lose my money if I'm playing roulette lol!)

When I was floor at [name of corporation withheld] I would not have accepted any paper I.D. either. If you had been persistent I would have referred you to security as they have the final say on questionable I.D. You did the right thing by not making a stink, it would have gotten you nowhere.

IMO, this is the way to handle it. The whole thing doesn't affect you that much. There are other places you were able to go. People who 'burn hot' at the wrong things are going to have a rough time of it in life. You're going to be seeing a heck of a lot worse as you go along. 'Easy does it', imo, until you're involved in something really important.

In Las Vegas, from a legal stand point, being in a casino is about the same as being in the living room of someone's house. If the owner of the house tells you to leave, you need to go.

It really doesn't matter if you had a perfectly legit ID, 29 signed testimonials that were all notarized, and a letter from the President. If the casino tells you to leave, you go.

The casino reserves the right to throw anyone out they want, ID or no ID, for any reason, and for no reason. The casino does not need a reason to make you leave, they do not need one, other than the reason that they simply want you to leave.

Casinos are not public property in Las Vegas. It is private property, like I said, legally the same as someone's private residence. Putting up too big of a fuss, and refusing to leave, you will quickly find yourself getting escorted by LVPD's finest for a nice stay in their accommodations downtown.

Paper temp that looks phony. Did it even have a picture?

And who was going to reimburse the Hard Rock if they got a fine from the State for allowing an underaged gambler?

Yeah how was the O&A show. I almost skipped classes to fly in for it but figure I'll hit the one in Detroit. The show in Cleveland last year was awesome.
