i've been a yankees fan my whole life... i'm 20 and started really following the yankees during the playoffs in 1995, since then i've been hooked
i'm going to buy an authentic jersey, none of this [censored] with the name on the back of the pinstripes the question is who to get: jeter is the obvious choice plus the number 2 is aestheticly pleasing, but he's ovverated by pretty much every non knowledgebal baseball fan arod- might not be there after this year... i'm looking at this as a long term decision, something i can give to my grandkids someday i'm italian and joe dimagio would be cool micky mantle for obvious reasons help me out guys... |

#32 ~ A lot of history in that number that gets overlooked way too much IMO.

The first black Yankee and first black AL MVP and people would be asking you "who is 32"? I didn't know this, but Wiki credits him as inventing the batting practice donut. |

I have the Mitchell & Ness 1939 Dimaggio jersey. Mitchell and Ness is pretty much the gold standard in jersies so they arent cheap.
http://www.mitchellandness.com/detail.aspx?ID=1810 I would stay away from current players because people do stupid things like change numbers...alla Cano this season. |
