Default AQo with a cruddy board - Stars 10/20

This is my first post in this forum - I've been a 3/6, 5/10 guy for a bit, and wanted to see what 10/20 is like. Well, let's just say that I didn't like it all that much. Haha. Ahhh, but what the hell, right?

Anyway, is folding the turn or river in the hand below even an option, or should I be flogged for suggesting it? Also, I'm curious about some of the adjustments that people make when they move from 5/10 to 10/20. I see a whole lot more cold calling raises in 10/20 than I'm used to in the lower limits, and the players seems a hell of a lot more tricky. I have a feeling that my normal 26/17 self would get massacred over the long haul at 10/20. Anyway, on with the hand...

Villian lost $500 over 66 hands, which seems entirely reasonable at 10/20, now that I've played it. He was 40/32 over that stretch. My notes are as follows:

-Will slow on the turn if he has nothing and you call him on the flop
-Will bet the river with nothing but ace high if you check on the turn

we need to 3 bet this flop here, idk why we are just calling. He could easily have the straight, if we think we will win the 7.5BB in here if we put in 2BB often enough then its a good call down. So if we think we will win this pot 2/7.5 amounts of the time then its a good call. I think this math is right but its close enough.

I think you played this hand well...I;m not sure why everyone wants to 3 bet this flop. I don't really want to put too many bets in here as you're not exactly crushing his range on this flop. 3 betting is going to lead to getting capped or raised on the turn a lot here which is going to put you in an uncomfortable position.

How is 3betting flop going to lead to capping on turn? Theres plenty of value 3betting here, because you're ahead way more times than not. I don't see how we can't be 3betting this flop to be honest.

I haven't played in the stars 10 game but for whatever it's worth my last 30k hands at 10/20 and above I've played 26/18 filtered for 5 to 6 handed and am winning 1.4 BB/100. Don't believe anyone that tells you have to play 30/20 to be a winner. Maybe those numbers are optimal for some people but personally I don't feel like I can profitably add too many more hands right now. Just stick to your own game for now and add more hands later when you feel more comfortable at this new limit.

25 bets over 66 hands will definitely happen more times than you care for and the first time you lose 1-2k dollars in a night will hurt too

Good luck!

Sorry that wasn't clear, I meant capped on the flop or raised on the turn.
