Default The Soundtrack To Your Untimely, Tragic Death

Let's assume for a moment that you and your family and friends would consider your untimely, tragic death a momumentally horrifying and sad event. Such lamentation is hard to imagine.

What is the soundtrack to the montage that leads to this event and immediate aftermath?

For me, right now, it's Palmless Prayer/Mass Murder Refrain, by MONO, with World's End Girlfriend (Katsuhiko Maeda).

I have considered the first solo Lisa Gerrard CD (The Mirror Pool), but there is too much Middle Eastern influence, and that wouldn't have much to do with me. I suppose I could just use "Sanvean (I am Your Shadow)," but that's just one three minute song, so I guess not.

I have also considered the live version of the Swans' song "Blood Promise," but that was for when I was sure I was going to Hell. Now I don't believe in Hell, so that sort of nullifies this as a candidate, in spite of its true greatness.

If none of these works for you, just choose "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves, or "Super Freak" by Rick James.

Oh, yeah. I'd be bawling like a baby at the funeral even if you were the uncle who molested me.

Not, ummm, that I had an uncle who molested me.

Really.

I've always thought about the song that would play if I died of old age, etc. (think Zevon-Keep me in your heart type song) but not for an untimely tragic death.

gonna have to think about this one..

komm susser todd

lyrics:

I know, I know I've let you down
I've been a fool to myself
I thought I could
live for no one else
But not through all the hurt and pain
Its time for me to respect
the ones you love
mean more than anything
So with sadness in my heart
I feel the best thing I could do
is end it all
and leave forever
whats done is done, it feels so bad
what once was happy now is sad
I'll never love again
my world is ending

I wish that I could turn back time
cos now the guilt is all mine
cant live without the trust from the ones you love.
I know we can't forget the past
you cant forget love and pride
because of that its killing me inside
