saw m.i.a. tonight...here are some pics:




this is a guy she let dance on stage, and he proceeded to dance like the black strippers you see in rap videos and such, where they shake/gyrate/etc their asses like crazy. you had to see this guy to believe it, but here's a pic anyway:

it was great. she was only on for about 40 minutes (there was an opener, and her dj was out for 30 minutes before she actually came out, and he was pretty damn good), but it was really high energy the whole time, and i'd rather see someone do 40 minutes of awesomeness than 1 hour+ of diluted awesomeness. she incorporated the "piracy..." stuff really well. i had an awesome time.

not diplo. i can't remember the guy's name she had with her. during his set he mostly spun cd's (!!!), but it was fun so wtf who cares.
