How did your friends/family react when you went pro?

I'm at a crossroads in my life, and I have seriously been considering going pro for a while. I have my whole future ahead of me, and poker is the one true passion I have in my life. It's more than a hobby to me, because I am always hungry to improve my game and maybe be the best there is someday. Note: I have another username on this site, but in order to deviate the discussion from me, I chose to create this one.

The hardest part for me right now is being able to tell my friends/family what I want to do. So I want to ask all of the pros out their stories. When they decided to turn pro, what they told their friends/families, and how they reacted.

This post is NOT about me. I am very interested in how things went for you guys in your personal lives.
