I like it, frequently takes down the pot right there unless opponent has an ace. I think she doesn't get looked up often by jacks and smaller pairs fold. Plus, it's not like she doesn't have outs even when called.

What does SB call with? PP or Ax, maybe big suited broadway???. Based on the check - villain is either weak, or looking for a check raise.
What I like about this is the push takes away the C/R bluff/semi bluff option and either represents a big hand or a big draw; if villain has a weak ace, it's the only way to get him off the hand. She has good fold equity, caught a piece of the pot and has a several outs. What I don't like about it, it may look like a flush draw enticing an Ace to call anyway. If the villain was going to C/R a made hand, she's done. Overall, I think it's a risky aggressive play, that I've been known to make and always seem to get called by the A2o or the KJ that sends me packing.....but I like it. |
