Default TPNK. 6 way action (109)

115 runners. 60 remain. Avg stack is 4500

UTG: 9k
UTG+2: 4250
MP2: 1,150
CO: 2,750
Hero: 4,500
BB: 3,375

I just got moved 3 hands ago but the player who is now UTG has limped twice in those three hands.

Hero has 6d7d

50/100
UTG limps, UTG+2 limps, MP limps, CO limps, Hero limps, SB folds, BB checks

I considered making a big raise here but decided against it. Feel free to discuss this decision

Flop (650) 6s 5s 2h
Checked to MP2 who shoves for 1050, CO folds, Hero...?

Making a big raise PF is tempting, but MP's stack worries me. He is likely to call PF and shove the flop or shove PF and we will be forced to call. It's one of my favorite moves against limpers, but I don't like it as much here.

On the flop I'd probably give it up. We don't beat anything but a lower pair or a draw and lot's of PPs are in his range. Although the huge overbet seems a lot more like a flush draw than a made hand. Hmm...I'd still fold.

The title of your post says it all -- seems to me like a pretty easy fold on the flop.

you have to fold this because it is very likely that someone behind you may have picked up a hand. If someone behind you has a big spade draw, a pair of 7s, etc. that is going to cause problems. If there was only one person behind you then I probably call it, but not with so many.

There will be the odd time when everyone will fold to this, but fold and move on

I read the title of the thread and thought my answer would be "easy fold".
Reading the post makes things not that clear, but i am basically still folding because of the possible action behind me.
If you isoraise, you basically setting yourself up to go broke. If you call, you`re laying to good odds for other players to draw.
Even if you have the best hand (which is not that clear, since he could shove better sevens, combos etc), you`re stuck.

To those of you in the fold camp:

What do you put the shover on?
What do you put the people behind me on with their preflop call(/check) and their flop check?

Fold.

You are behind shover's range. Against him you are normally either barely ahead or way behind. Factor in the potential of people left to act having a monster and it's a clear fold imo.

This is a fold. You are in OK shape against short stack with pot odds, but this is marginal, and you have four other players to act.

I like the limp behind with position preflop.
