Two difficults spots ( for me )
Theses two hands were rough for me. Any help appreciated.
In both hands I am 26/16/2. Villain is 18/12/2 and seems straightforward. Do you think the call preflop is ok ? what on the turn ? Villain is 42/27/1.7. On the flop I checked in the hope to get paid on the turn by someone hitting a piece of the board. I wasn't especially afraid of the flush. On the river, the flush however was really scaring. This guy can really have some crap suited. Re: Two difficults spots ( for me )
#1 I wrote out my analysis of hand #1 thinking the villain was a 42/27, OOPS! But, now knowing he is a 18/12 I think you could probably fold PF. if not i think you played it fine if you folded the turn.
$2- River is tough, I think I call, but its close. |

Re: Two difficults spots ( for me )
Call turn in hand 1. Even if he never has anything other than AA/KK/AK this is a call.
3-way I would definitely bet flop in Hand 2. If not, I'd raise more on the turn. As played I call river. |

Re: Two difficults spots ( for me )
Tough hands.
Hand 1, I def call preflop, because AK is the nuts. But we have position and he only made your raise 3x. The turn spot is pretty gross. I really have no idea. These types never really do this with a worse hand (how many hands are these stats over?); maybe AxKh? I feel folding is best but I probably call because gambling is addictive. This almost depends on how many hands I have him over; a small sample size and I would call. Hand 2, I usually bet the flop but nothing wrong with taking it slow. I would find it hard to believe a 42/27 wouldn't bet that flop w/ a flush draw. It's possible but I feel unlikely. Same goes for AT, another hand he is "representing" with the river bet. Thus, I call.. hand was played a little too weird for me to make the fold. If he has TT I break a mouse. |

Re: Two difficults spots ( for me )
The small turn bet, call of raise, and then huge river bet makes me kinda lean towards folding with no reads other than stats, but i'm not sure if i can do it in-game.. His line kinda says fd imo. Depends on your assessment of his skill though, if you think he has some postflop understanding, i just don't think he'd ever bet so strong into someone representing strength unless he was really strong himself or saw your small raise as weakness rather than strength. If he's terrible... Well... I might call.

Re: Two difficults spots ( for me )
Hand 1 I generally fold preflop, you either get run off your hand if you don't hit, or win a small pot/lose a big pot if you do hit. Turn is huge instacall:
Board: Kh 5h 2h 9c Hand 0: 45.455% { AhKc } Hand 1: 54.545% { KK+, AKs, AKo } Hand 2 is clear flop bet, you say you "want someone to hit a piece of the board". What exactly are you hoping they hit on the turn? River is pretty bizarre, but I would fold. It's not really possible for him to have a busted draw. Also from 1.7 aggro players a pot bet in this spot tends to mean made hand. They will bluff with halfpot or 2/3 pot bets. |
