Default Is is ever ok to slow roll?

Just wondering what your thoughts are? I've had a few opponents that got on my nerves and I would mind shutting them up with a slowroll, but never got the chance.

I don't mean just the normal gooner 'tard b&m low limit grinder. I mean guys who are downright mean, yelling at dealers, making nasty comments about other players. The guys you want to punch in the face if it wouldn't get you kicked out.

Or is the slowroll a move only employed by the biggest of d-bags, never by a 2+2er?

Are you implying that "d-bag" and "2+2er" are mutually exclusive?

I think you're trying to delineate between "OK"(ethical) and socially acceptable. It is never OK in the sense that if the other player asks the dealer or calls the floor and tells you not to slow roll, you will be reprimanded(assuming the rules are enforced). It may be socially acceptable(dealer may let it slide, people at the table will applaud) in situations if someone is being a Dbag.

The only time I could see it being acceptable is if someone else did it to you first.

It might be okay to do it to a good friend -- once as a joke.

Where in the rules of poker does it say slow rolling is prohibited?

Slow Rolling is bad etiquette, not against the rules...

unless they did it to someone else first or a small pot when someone else is being macho about their 3rd pair when it checks around on the river

but if you're asking if it's okay to be a dick, yeah... if you want to be a dick

Also many rooms have a rule that players are to conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen, but this shouldn't really have to be a written rule should it?

Even if someone is being a bag, be the bigger person.
