But his min raise and then $5 on turn was suspect. I pushed on river because I thought he was strong. What should I have raised? $50? |

Re: 200NL: I went for the kill...
meh, i think you played this hand fine. folding the flop is an option, but with backdoor draws to flush/straight and 2 overs which might/probably are clean, meh.

You get way more value by pushing here than raising $50. In this case, he was probably just weak.

Re: 200NL: I went for the kill...
About an hour later the villian claimed he had JJ. I don't know if I believe this line because why just a min-raise on the flop? JJ could be b.s. and I think he would have insta-called river with JJ.

Re: 200NL: I went for the kill...
He did not have JJ, he just hit the jackpot, he cant assume you floated with AQ.
I think JJ will call you here almost everytime. |

Re: 200NL: I went for the kill...
Villain did not have JJ. No way. Most likely he flopped top pair, took a shot with that awful bet on the turn, and took another shot when the board got scary and he figured maybe you missed your flush draw. I'd raise the river to an even $100--thinking players will fold two pair to an all-in, and, besides, it's a big overbet (which, I understand, is where some of the value comes from, but still)...
