Default sidegame action, who\'s taking the worst of it?

saw this game going on last night.

player A vs, player B

both ante up, 5 bucks.

player B picks 3 cards ( jack, 4, 7).

if any of the 3 cards hit the flop, then player A gets the money (he acts as like the house)

who is taking the worst of it here?

Default Re: sidegame action, who\'s taking the worst of it?

edit: misread the problem

If Player B has not seen his hole cards, then the odds of NOT flopping a J, 7, or 4 (B winning) are (40/52)*(39/51)*(38/50) = 44.71%.

If Player B has seen his hole cards and has two of the 12 jacks, sevens, or fours, then the odds of NOT flopping a J, 7, or 4 (B winning) are (40/50)*(39/49)*(38/48) = 50.41%.

If Player B has seen his hole cards and has one of the 12 jacks, sevens, or fours (i.e., he's a moron), then the odds of NOT flopping a J, 7, or 4 (B winning) are (39/50)*(38/49)*(37/48) = 46.63%.

So I assume B is barely getting the best of it only if he picks cards which he already has two of.
