No, you just need to eat a pizza. That will make you feel better.

You might want to look up the odds of this happening and then think about how often you are giving things up when you lay down sets.

the only way i'm folding a set is if the board is a 4 flush or is doubly paired and my set is under both those pairs.

So pretty much never, And I refuse to think not folding sets is a leak

Starting to see monsters under the bed is more costly than getting cold decked with a set under a set.

Try to focus harder during these times and not let valid losses lead to spew on other hands.

This hand happened to me last night and this crap has not happened to me to often lately. (knock on wood)
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

MP1 ($30.10)
Hero ($75.35)
CO ($40.20)
Button ($33.15)
SB ($16.25)
BB ($25.75)
UTG ($6.95)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, MP1 raises to $1.25, Hero calls $1.25, 1 fold, Button raises to $4.5, 2 folds, UTG folds, MP1 calls $3.25, Hero calls $3.25.

Flop: ($14.10) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $13, Button folds, MP1 raises to $25.6, Hero calls $12.60.

Turn: ($65.30) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: ($65.30) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $65.30

Results in white below:
MP1 has 6c 6h (three of a kind, sixes).
Hero has 4s 4d (three of a kind, fours).
Outcome: MP1 wins $65.30.

I have no problem with this crap however was this a good call preflop? I didnt put anyone on the 666 but rather maybe the KKK hand.

input plz.

Two things:
1)Never think about folding set over set, period. Put the concept out of your mind except to aknowledge that it does happen, and you are going to pay off everytime, and that's poker.
2) When it happens, take it like a man, take pride in the fact you aren't whining about the hand like baby.

Yes this was an OK call with the effective stack sizes and pot odds you were getting. You just got unlucky is all.
